Melinda Shankar, or Degrassi’s “Alli”, was spotted by a group of students from the Urban Assembly School Choir during their performance at Hoyt Plaza in Downtown Brooklyn. Melinda signed autographs and even joined the group to sing a couple holiday songs.
The performance was part of the Court-Livingston-Schermerhorn Business Improvement District’s Holiday Welcome Center event, which encourages shoppers to support local businesses this holiday season and sponsors live musical performances in Downtown Brooklyn.
