Featuring more than 30 bands, organizers of the fourth annual Brooklyn Folk Festival promise to transform 27,000 square feet of raw space in Downtown Brooklyn into a music wonderland.
The three-day festival opens May 18 with a special tribute to the late-great, folk-music icon, Woody Guthrie, who would have turned 100 this year. It runs through May 20 at 345 Jay Street (former site of Sid’s Hardware) and will showcase the musical talents of renowned Americana singers, local and national folk bands and musicians from around the world.

Performances begin with a season preview on March 29 at the Actors Fund Arts Center, 160 Schermerhorn Street in Downtown Brooklyn.
